HELP!!! I am doing research for a potential Automotive Shop that I would like to open in the Colorado Springs area. Automotive shops are very expensive, which means a huge investment. I feel that a Do It Yourself would be something that can be very beneficial to the people of Colorado Springs, by saving time, money, and a lot of grief with your Landlord or Homeowners Association. I need help with seeing if the local population agrees with me or not.

This Shop Would provide:

  1.  24 hours per day, 7 days a week Service.
  2. It would provide the tools needed to perform your repair or project.
  3. highly experienced Technicians, (usually 20 or more years) to advise you on how to perform your tasks.
  4. Do-It-Yourself (DIY) workshops.
  5. General Repair Shop (We do it for you)

Here's what I need to know:

  • Would you use a shop like this? If not, Why?
  • How much per hour would you be willing to pay? (Average Shop rates around town is around $90 per hour)
  • What location would you like this shop to be? (Major intersection in Colorado Springs would be fine)
  • What type of workshops would you like to participate in?
  • Would Childcare be necessary or helpful? (Please don't answer if you don't deal with small children on a regular basis.)
If you have any other comments or suggestions, they will be welcomed and considered. I look forward to any suggestions, comment, and answers you may provide.

Thanks for your Help,
(Future) Owner of "Your Auto Shop"
